RESOURCES

Project Peacemakers has a library with numerous peace and justice resources. The Books and Magazines in our LIBRARY are available for loan. We also publish a variety of Educational Resources for schools that are available for sale, and we also provide speakers on a number of peace related topics.
BOOKS:
Book titles can be accessed through our Library listings by title, author and subject. They are available for borrowing if you have a membership. Our newest titles are from author, Yves Engler, The Black Book of Canadian Foreign Policy and Canada in Haiti.
MAGAZINES:
Magazines can be borrowed by members. Both members and non-members are free to sit down with a cup of tea in the office (when staff are here) and keep up to date on articles from the following magazines:
Fellowship, Geez, MCC Peace Office Newsletter, Mother Jones, New Internationalist, Peace magazine, Peace Research Journal, Ploughshares Monitor, Saskatchewan Peace News, Sojourners, Walrus and Yes.
EDUCATION AND RESOURCES FOR ACTION :
As a peace education organization, Project Peacemakers is committed to raising public awareness about the issues we work on including; children and war, nuclear abolition, violent video games, and building peace through play. As part of our work we offer speakers on these topics to schools, churches, and other interested groups in our community. We have large colourful banners and displays available for borrowing. Please contact our office (775-8178) to book a speaker, a banner or a display for your upcoming educational event.
Our latest resource is a CD-Rom entitled:
"Remembrance Day November 11th Assembly Program", prepared by Nancy Pinnell with Karen Burgoyne for us. It is available for free from the office. Please call 204-775-8178 to reserve a copy.

This kit provides lessons for Sunday School students in grades 4-9 about the various issues affecting children living in warzones including: sanctions, refugees, child soldiers and military spending. This play is a result of the collaborative efforts of numerous Winnipeg high school students and former child soldiers from Sierra Leone. It is educational and entertaining. Download it here and produce it for your group.

This very popular building peace through play pamphlet has been distributed to thousands of elementary school children. It encourages parents to think carefully about their choices of toys and provides hints for parents who want to eliminate violence from their children's toy boxes. Download pamphlet here
